Email marketing tips you should apply
When you have built up an email list, you naturally want to grow it as quickly as possible and get as many results as possible!
Unfortunately, many people get stuck growing their email list and spend almost no time on it. And that is of course a shame, since you can achieve so much with email marketing !
And when they have built up a nice mailing list, many people fail to get results with it.
In this article I discuss five email marketing tips that will ensure that your email list will grow like cabbage, and with which you will get there!
Don’t have an email list yet? Then I recommend reading my article on building an email list first. Here you will find all the information you need to start building an email list.
Tip #1: Give away a free e-book/video training
The number one way to get more people on your mailing list is to give something away in return. That is also what I do on the theadsensefamily.com As you look, you will find the option to download a free e-book at the top right.
Don’t know how to write an ebook? Then read my next article: How should I write an ebook? Everything you should pay attention to…..
You can download this free e-book immediately, in exchange for your name and e-mail address. When you enter it and confirm your registration, you will automatically be added to my e-mail list and you can download the e-book.
As you can see in the picture above
People like to have a reason to sign up for a mailing list. The old “ stay informed ” or “ sign up for our newsletter ” no longer works.
In addition, by giving something away for free, you exude authority.
When you offer a free e-book, it is a good idea to have a beautiful e-cover made. An e-cover is, as it were, a kind of 3D representation of your book. If you can’t do this yourself, it’s best to outsource it. This costs no more than two decades, and for that you simply have a beautiful e-cover that will benefit you for years to come!
Tip #2: Use “loser language”
This may be a slightly odd headline, but I wouldn’t know how else to word it.
What I mean by this is that you have to make it clear to visitors that if they are not on your mailing list, they are missing out on everything. You can do this, for example, as follows:
“Stop missing out on thousands of free visitors from Google and download the free e-book right away.”
In this you indicate that thanks to the e-book you will learn how to get a huge amount of free visitors from Google, so that you will not miss out on them anymore.
People don’t like to miss out, and by talking in “loser language” you motivate people to sign up for your newsletter.
Tip #3: Use the right colors
If you want to have people on your mailing list, you must of course also have a button that allows people to send their name and email address; a submit button.
You can use different colors for this button. You will be amazed at what a different color will bring about for the number of newsletter registrations!
This is how a ‘safe color’ works best. Think about green. A green button exudes security, and people are more likely to click on it. An orange button generally works well too, because it really exudes a call-to-action.
Above you see an example of a green button. This ‘send button’ is active on theadsensefamily and radiates friendliness and security.
A red color, on the other hand, works less well, since red does not really encourage clicking. It’s a kind of ‘stop color’.
So make good use of colors and see which color works best for your target group! It’s best to just play with this for a while.
Tip #4: Build a bond
When people have signed up for your mailing list, it is of course important that you maintain this mailing list. So you have to start sending mailings to your mailing list. What many people do wrong is that they only send promotional emails.
That is of course not a good way to maintain your mailing list ;).
People do not like advertising, and are more likely to unsubscribe from your newsletter if they only receive advertising.
So send valuable information; information that people need. This can be anything. For example, send a handy tip that your mailing list, or a video with a certain topic that you discuss.
It’s about not just sending emails trying to sell something. Be valuable, and build a bond.

Tip #5: Choose interesting topics
I still regularly receive newsletters in my mailbox with topics such as “ Newsletter week 3 ”.
This of course does not invite you to open the newsletter at all and therefore ends up almost immediately in the trash.
So make emails that have an interesting subject. An example for this is:
“ %Name%, I have something for you! “
In this, ‘%Name%’ naturally changes to the recipient’s name. This makes the mail personal and makes it attractive for the recipient to open your mail.
Firstly, the name of the recipient is mentioned, and secondly, there is something for the recipient. Of course you can’t always use this subject, but it’s about being creative with the subjects of your emails. Make sure it makes people curious !
